Lovely to sit and have a beer or a glass of wine by the fire before and after a lovely three course dinner.

I love the fact the there is no no mobile connection. My kids actually interacted with each other and everyone instead of their head's being buried in a mobile phone. Don't ever change!!

We had a fantastic time at Sponar's Chalet which is c15 mins easy drive from the main slopes. The food was great and the kids loved the large swimming pool & games room. The atmosphere was excellent, with everyone gathering each evening in the lounge. Our host Peter went out of his way to make sure everything went smoothly. Worth going back!

We chose Sponars this winter for a weekend-long work trip. Sponars was absolutely wonderful and exactly what we were looking for. Sponars was incredibly accommodating with our larger group size, gave us great tips and just generally ensured that we had a lovely and smooth stay. We loved the atmosphere in the communal lounge, adored the pool and sauna and most of all, we appreciated the friendly staff at Sponars. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely lodge with basic but comfortable and clean rooms. Food was awesome with large servings (great after a big day on the slopes). Staff were friendly and accommodating. Only downside for us was the limited reception and wifi, however this can be a positive if you are trying to get away and shut off while on holiday. Overall a great value lodge, will definitely be going back.

A wonderful family-friendly traditional lodge. From the minute you arrive you can relax and enjoy; the bedrooms are warm and comfortable, the public areas spacious and inviting, the food tasty and plentiful. As we were there during school holidays we really appreciated the excellent shuttle bus service, which allows for an early or late start and returns you in time to enjoy a swim in the heated pool, a shower, a game of pool or table tennis, a drink at the bar, and an excellent dinner. We were a party of three generations and we all had a marvellous holiday. I am particularly grateful to Peter and Penny for helping out when one of my grandchildren broke her wrist; Peter kindly driving to Perisher to collect her when I could not be contacted. We shall certainly hope to return next year!
